These Pins are mainly used in New Shutter Fabrication. When you do repair, it's much easier to use the Louver Repair Pin (part #1570) instead.
Or you can use Repair Pin on one end of louver & Standard on the other end of the same louver.

Commonly used in Plantation Shutter, Hunter Douglas Hybrid Shutter
These shutter pins support the louvers in the shutter panel and allow the louver to rotate.

INSTRUCTIONS: The large end is inserted in the stile (frame). The small end is inserted into the louver. A washer is molded into the shutter pin which prevent the louver to rub against the stile (frame) for smooth operation.

Nylon Louver Pins are typically used for new construction. They can also be used in conjuction with the Louver repair pins. When re-installing a louver into an existing panel, you can use Nylon Pin on one side of the louver, and a Repair Pin on the other.
