- Commonly used in New Style Hybrid Shutter
- These shutter pins support the louvers in the shutter panel, give the louvers tension to stop where you want, & allow the louver to rotate.
INSTRUCTIONS: The large end is inserted in the stile (frame). The pointy end is inserted into the louver. These pins are used when making new shutters. For repair, you need to get a spring loaded pin called Louver Repair Pin, part # 1570.
When louvers won’t stay open or keep flopping down, most likely the problem is lack of louver tension.
- If you have vinyl or polysatin shutter, fix the problem with the combo of Louver Repair Pin & Tension Louver Nylon Pin.
- If you have plantation shutter, then adjusting the louver tension. Use a Philips head screwdriver to slowly turn the tension screws, which are located on both sides of the shutter panel.
