DC Power Supply is a great way to avoid the inconvenience of changing lots of batteries every year. It works well especially if you have large powered shade that open/close frequently. Since the DC supply plugs in an electrical outlet, select the outlet closest to the window treatment, preferrably within few feet.
OPTION: 18V Daisy Chain (part 6033 sold separately) can power up to 3 adjacent shades with 1 DC power supply. Limitations for Daisy chain setup:
1/ The maximum connected cables allowed for daisy chain is 50ft.
2/ The total fabric dimension for up to 3 shades cannot exceed 100ft

The disadvantage of DV power supply is: visible cables on wall. So make sure you hide the cords neatly with Cable Management Tools (or Wire Organizer).
